Today’s attempt at getting my car cleaned went dismally to say the least. The “specialist “ looked at my car and the honey dew on the car and said it would take far longer and was very difficult to clean. Even after I’d explained that the honey dew is not a new thing to the car or me, and that the car is cleaned weekly, he was insistent it “couldn’t be cleaned with only soap and water” Regular charge won’t suffice, we need to charge more for this clean…… Sales tactic much??? I turned down the offer, washed the windows myself at the fuel station, pulled into the mechanics workshop to drop the dirty car and apologised for the dirty car. 5 minutes later and the front of the car was already cleaned by the technician while the car was being booked in. Joe Soap trying to push a surcharge…. Don’t waste your time or money. There are many far more professional outfits around. They may be “convenient” because they are at the shopping centre, and they clean your car while you shop, but the car cleaning teams with the portable machines are probably a better option, and cost less. What’s more, they usually greet you with a smile. Joe Soap, don’t forget, you’re in the service industry.
